Before You
Reach Out.
How does the retainer model work?

Monthly retainer, fixed fee. We agree on the scope, I own those workstreams completely, and you get weekly updates. 30 days notice to cancel or modify. No long-term lock-in — the engagement earns itself every month.

Do you only work on IoT products?

No. IoT is a strong suit, but my background covers the full range — cameras, printers, kitchen appliances, health devices, baby and pet electronics. If it's a physical product that needs to be manufactured, I'm relevant.

Do you work with early-stage startups?

Yes, with context. The best engagements are with companies past the concept phase — you have a product and real urgency. If you're earlier, I'm happy to talk, but a full retainer may not be the right fit yet.

Are you available for project-based work?

Yes. Factory audits, CES launch programs, NPI sprints — bounded projects are a natural fit. We scope it in an SOW with clear deliverables, milestones, and pricing.

Can you travel to factories?

Absolutely, and I do it regularly. Travel is billed as a pass-through at cost — flights, accommodation, ground transport — approved in advance. I've been to Shenzhen more times than I can count.

What's the typical time to start?

Initial call within a week of first contact. SOW turnaround within 2–3 business days of agreeing on scope. Active engagement starts within 2 weeks of signed agreement. No 8-week onboarding period.
